Ambriento Ambriento Ambriento Ambriento Ambriento
Nashville to London via Dublin = a taco that you need to be checking out
KERB, 2015

Why we love them

A breath of Tennessee air blowing through London is just what it needed. Who knew? This taco van is not about a love affair with Mexico, proper, but with Little Mexico, Nashville. Married couple Elinore and Dimitrus are bringing something different to the kerb - from the (often) gluten-free tacos to the famous patatas bravas - and not forgetting that this is the first completely self-sufficient van we have. Yep, they are well and truly off the grid. Imagine!

What they serve

Tacos (all gluten-free)

Holy Molee Taco
Chicken & chorizo in mole sauce topped with zesty slaw, salsa verde and sour cream
Crispy Fish Taco
Tequila-battered pollack topped with jalapeño tartare sauce, samphire and zesty slaw
Lucky Taco (vegetarian)
Southern-style black-eyed beans topped with zesty slaw, salsa verde and sour cream
Patatas Bravas
Triple-cooked potatoes & sweet potatoes with our home-made red pepper sauce or “Make it Mex” by also adding our guacamole & chipotle aioli

In their own words

Hambriento means “very hungry” in Spanish. With Ambriento, we fuse authentic Mexican recipes with flavours from our childhood and our travels, as well as local flavours of London to create our Global-Mex street food. All of our food is home-made with natural ingredients sourced as ethically and locally as possible.

Why the kerb life

We enjoy the way food brings people together. Our families have instilled a love for home cooking, which we bring into the business. It was during a family visit to Nashville, Tennessee (home of Little Mexico) that we came up with the idea for a Mexican truck in London. We love the creativity involved in the process of running our truck and mixing up new flavours, but the best part is all the people you get to meet and feed!
