Capish? Capish? Capish? Capish? Capish?
The best Italo-American sandwiches going, understood?
KERB, 2015

Why we love them

Rachel is a trooper as she dedicates her every waking hour to getting the message across about Capish? These are the meatballs you long for but are usually disappointed by. It's a big pot of steaming, sauce-covered polpetti smooshed into a semolina sub and drenched with melted provolone and it's winking lasciviously at you when you try and walk by. You can't, they're too good.

What they serve

At markets we serve two to three of the following Italo-American classics, check our twitter to find out what's on the menu that day.
Meatball Hero
The ultimate meatball sub.  Free range pork and rare breed beef meatballs, slow cooked in our homemade marinara sauce.  Served in a 9" buttermilk sub with polenta crumb topped with provolone cheese sauce or grated pecorino.  Homemade jalapeno sauce if you like it hot.
Chicken Parm
Parmesan breaded corn-fed chicken breast, marinara sauce, garlicky sauteed chard, melted mozzarella and pecorino cheese.  Served in our signature polenta crusted roll.
Just Balls
No bread, just three lovely balls, with rocket salad, slaw and pickles.
Braciole Sandwich
40 day aged rare breed steak, rolled with garlic, parsley, pecorino cheese and chili, slow braised with white wine, bone marrow and onion. Served on a glazed buttermilk roll with taleggio cheese and pickled red onions.
Sloppy Joe
The American school dinner classic…with a twist. Dry-aged beef mince ragu served on a seeded brioche roll with provolone cheese sauce and pickles (add a fried egg if you're feeling particularly sloppy).
*Look out for specials such as zucchini fries, eggplant parmigiana and italian sausage*

In their own words

We want to bring you a little piece of (little) Italy, right here in London.  We make meatballs your nonna would have made, sloppy joes that you're happy to wear down your front, plus the best braciole this side of NYC.  Quality ingredients are key for us and we try to source the best meat, bread and cheeses to create something we think is pretty special.

Why the kerb life

What started me off was the food, what kept me going was the people - both traders and customers!

Fave Kerbster

It's too hard to choose just one. Current favourites are Vinn Goute fish wrap, Kimchinary Ox Cheek Burrito, feta fries from Grilling Greek, BLEECKER BLACK. All washed down with a soda from Square Root. Phew.
