Why we love them

The Northern-Irish Seoul survivor who came to London with fermentation aspirations. Kimchi soon had a new following when Danny started Kimchi Cult. He is crazy about the stuff and does all sorts of imaginative things with it - slathering it on his seriously good burgers, pressing it into his Korean-Mex tortas, and even planning an underground cultivation of the stuff in his back garden. It helps with the flavouring, apparently. Can't wait to try his Walthamstow vintage.

What they serve

Our menu has included pulled pork sliders, Korean fried chicken, kimchi cheese fries, bulgogi subs,  kimchi dogs and Korean-Mexican grilled sandwiches, but we mostly serve kimchi cheeseburgers!

In their own words

We serve Korean-style fast food – Western classics like burgers, hotdogs and fried chicken that have undergone a heavy dose of Koreanization - usually involving plenty of Kimchi and other Korean flavours. All of our Kimchi is homemade, and we take care to source the best quality ingredients.

Why the kerb life

I got into street food when I was living and working in Korea. I was really impressed by the quality and value of the food on the streets and started writing a blog to reflect my experiences. After a palate-changing trip across Asia after the end of my first year of work, I decided to return to Korea to save up the money to start my own street food business.

Fave Kerbster

My favourite Kerb dish is Buen Provecho’s Ceviche. It’s full of fresh, ingredients and fiery flavour and is served on a chin-dribble-inducing crispy tortilla. I’ve also eaten hundreds of Arturo’s tacos and I never get sick of them!
