As well as food, KERB has community at its core. We like to do work that doesn’t always feel like work. We choose to invest in people and build strong relationships. We enjoy the challenge of driving both people and profit forward in an ever-changing London.
We value initiative, focus and spirit in people. This is a place that rewards entrepreneurship. There’s so much scope to grow here if you have all this – along with that ingrained belief that service is everything, inside and out.
We are committed to supporting and promoting diversity across everything we involve ourselves in, from the make-up and culture of our internal team, through to the many independent street food businesses we work with, and the many hundreds of people they employ. Diversity in KERB as both a business and a culture is vital.
After operating out of many different kinds of workspaces over the years, from home kitchen to leaking warehouse, KERB HQ is now based in Shoreditch, tucked away in a little courtyard with its own front door.
We started as a community and we love continuing to find ways to do more with what we have. KERB is continually striving to find ways to lessen our footprint (and our Members footprints) across the business, through our sustainability manifesto and #KERBPACTLUNCH).
We also have active committees set up, to help us be BETTER in all areas. From our Social Committee (who are to blame for many a sore head) to our Diversity & Inclusivity Committee (working in partnership with Be Inclusive), Mental Health & Wellbeing Committee, and Social Enterprise Committees. Get involved!
What’s important to us? Our mission is to create opportunity and joy through great food, from the KERB up.
There are four core values that KERB lives by:
1. Brilliant food only
2. Incubation & Acceleration
3. Exceptional Hospitality
4. Diverse Ecosystem
These aren’t just words, we’ve stood by them since day one and they’re right at the very heart of everything KERB does.
Our Core Value
We treat the janitor and the CEO the same.
Everyone is a VIP at KERB – and we treat them like it. Good food is for everyone, and so are good times!
