We’re absolutely buzzing to *finally* share that we’re bringing Forza Wine to join us at the National Theatre.
From one rooftop to another, KERB are bringing Forza Wine into the Terrace at the National Theatre on the 7th September. With banging sunset views over the Thames, their tasty snack menu and a regularly changing cocktail menu (hello frozen peach margaritas), it’s a match made in heaven and the final piece of the culinary puzzle at the National Theatre.
Forza Wine will open year-round for you and your mates to enjoy a dreamy natural wine list, seasonal cocktail list and their ‘sort of Italian’ inspired snack menu. You can either pop up for a quick bite or relax into a long meal, there’s a ‘whole menu’ option which serves four of you generously. Get stuck into the firm favourite Cauliflower fritti, as well as mozzarella with figs and hazelnuts and pancetta potato cakes and pickled cabbage. Not forgetting their addictive signature soft serve. Cocktails will include classics, alongside a menu including Cherry Negroni, Limonata Bianca and our fave – Frozen Peach Margarita.
From one rooftop to another
You can come all year round, with the outdoor terrace covered for when when the weather aint so fresh. The interior features a split of banquette seating and high-top tables making it perfect for a quick work lunch, pre-theatre dinner, post-theatre drinks, or a gathering with your besties. Looking for a spot for a special celebration? A private dining terrace is tucked away on the balcony surrounded by greenery for more intimate occasions, with one long table seating up to 24.
Co-Owners Michael Lavery and Bash Redford said, “This is our biggest move yet, and we’re really excited to bring the success of our Peckham and Camberwell sites to the South Bank, opening up what we offer to a wider audience. The opportunity was a bit of a ‘pinch me’ moment – it’s THE National Theatre, not only a world-leading theatre and one of Europe’s most famous Brutalist buildings, but also one of the best terraces in London – a perfect spot for anyone who wants to drop by for some food, drinks and views.’’
Kate Varah, Executive Director of the National Theatre, said, ‘‘We are thrilled to be adding Forza Wine to the roster of brilliant food and drink available at the National Theatre. Their reputation for extraordinary wine and delicious plates will further establish the National Theatre as a leading dining destination on the South Bank. We can’t wait to raise a glass with them on the National Theatre’s famous terrace in September.’’
Huw Gott, Co-founder of Hawksmoor Restaurants and a Non-Executive Director of National Theatre Enterprises, said, “The National Theatre has always been known for the excellence and excitement of what’s on its stages. Now that same excellence and excitement is reflected in its food and drink spaces. In partnership with KERB, we’ve been working hard to build a food and drink offer that reflects the quality, care, craft, creativity and diversity of the performances on our stages. With Forza Wine joining Lasdun and a selection of KERB traders at our iconic South Bank home, the National Theatre is set to become a London landmark for food and drink as well as theatre.”
Open midday to midnight, Monday – Saturday.
With two banging spots already in Peckham and Camberwell, this latest addition to the Forza portfolio will be their biggest project to date, so we’re buzzing to welcome them into the KERB National Theatre fam.
Forza Wine is the final piece in the culinary puzzle at the National Theatre, where we’ve been reimagining the menu for the past two years. Alongside KERB at the Understudy and the recently opened Lasdun, we’re proud to be putting flavour centre stage at this iconic London venue.
Open from midday to midnight daily, Forza Wine at The National Theatre will overlook the South Bank and River Thames in all its glory for guests to enjoy.
