WHAT: Events Coordinator
WHEN: January 2019
SALARY: £22k pa starting salary, with generous benefits package and team perks

JOB DESCRIPTION:

This role will be integral to KERB’s Private Events team and support the Head of Events and Events Managers in various administrative, sales and event management duties.

 

THIS ROLE WILL INCLUDE:

  • Administrative tasks to include the creation of sales proposals, booking forms, sales invoices, menu documents, trader briefs, health and safety documents and database maintenance
  • Responsibility for team finance to include credit control, creating and processing sales invoices and trader invoices, and cross referencing team P&Ls with all invoices to ensure accurate figures
  • Assisting the Head of Events with sales reporting, including the collation of information and production of reports
  • Sales support to include responding to event enquiries and creating quotes and proposals
  • Marketing assistance to include invitation and guest list creation. Assistance with newsletters and mail outs when required
  • Pre-event support to include liaising with clients and traders, coordinating tastings, possible power requirements and VRNs
  • On-site management of events to include some unsociable hours (evenings/weekends) when necessary
  • Ad hoc administrative support for Head of Events and Events Managers when needed
  • Website management when required

 

ADDITIONAL GENERAL KERB RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Assisting in the identification and cultivation of new events-appropriate traders
  • Keeping ‘on the pulse’ by sampling trader’s food and occasionally working with traders at markets or events when required

PERSON SPECIFICATION:

  • Experience in the field of event management and/or event catering is preferred
  • Proactive / ability to work independently
  • Excellent computer skills
  • Excellent people skills, confident talking to clients and traders in a consultative manner
  • Attention to detail a must
  • Positive and flexible attitude
  • Team player essential
  • An understanding (and love!) of food
