Meltdown Cheeseburger

Big news in The Understudy! It’s time to change things up and give another KERB member the opportunity to trade here at the National Theatre. So, we sadly say goodbye to Lucky’s Hot Chicken after over two glorious (and spicy) years and welcome the epic Meltdown Cheeseburgers!

Meltdown Cheeseburgers is a brand new concept from Tom Monaghan, who founded the brand early this year after spending ten years at burger legends – Patty&Bun. After helping to grow the company, he teamed up with Patty&Bun’s ex head prep chef Marc Chambers and designed a small but perfectly formed menu of burgers and sides.

What’s on the menu?

The guys will be slingin’ out a range of juicy, oozy burgers, including ‘The Meltdown’ (Double smashed beef patty, double cheese, chilli & garlic mayo, tomato & pickle relish, beef tomato, shredded lettuce) and ‘Lil’ Chicken’ (Spiced chicken thigh, cheese, citrus mayo, creamy slaw, shredded lettuce) – plus rotating weekly specials, a vegan burger and loaded beef brisket fries.

They’re even doing their bit for the planet as all the beef used is regenerative!

Launching Friday 17th November

Meltdown Cheeseburgers is launching in The Understudy at the National Theatre on Friday 17th November and will be joining KERB favourites – Mumbai Mix and Bad Boy Pizza Society. This is the first time we’ve had a changeover in The Understudy for over a year and we’re super excited to bring a new KERB trader through our ecosystem with a spot at the iconic National Theatre.

So head down, bring ya mates and get stuck into Meltdown Cheeseburgers!

There will be more exciting trader changes in January, so keep your eyes peeled on updates!
