We’re teaming up with our pals at Gipsy Hill to throw one hell of a party to celebrate our fave time of the year – Oktoberfest at The Understudy!
Kicking off on Saturday 16th September right through to Tuesday 3rd October, we’re serving up steins of Gipsy Hill’s Festbier – Funkeln, as well as a banging KERB trader collab between resident Understudy traders Bad Boy Pizza Society and Oh My Dog.
OKTOBERFEST AT THE UNDERSTUDY
‘THE WURST PIZZA EVER’
We can confirm this mash up of a pizza is in fact delicious. Featuring hot melted Mozzarella, tangy pickled red cabbage, Oh My Dog’s famous Bockwurst sausage, a kick of German mustard, sauerkraut and crumbled pretzels to top it all off. Sounds mad? Yes. Tastes unreal? YES!
FUNKELN FESTBIER
From Munich to South London. Gipsy Hill are embracing all things wunderbar about the season with their 2023 Festbier – Funkeln.
This year they’ve gone big, they’ve gone bold and they’ve gone ‘god damn that’s drinkable’.
A 6.0% Festbier. Full bodied with a balanced sweetness. It’s deliciously nutty on the nose. With layers of red berry and a woody earthiness – giving it that lovely smooth bitterness that leaves you wanting more (or a 1 litre stein at minimum).
FRI 22ND SEPT: OKTOBERFEST PARTY WITH BRASS BAND
We’re doing Oktoberfest in style, so on Friday 22nd September, we’re throwing a party with Fat Brass – a live brass band. Think all your fave tunes being played by a live roaming 6-piece band, ending on club bangers at the end of the night. Not only that, we have Gipsy Hill merch to giveaway – you really don’t want to miss this!
Fat Brass will be kicking off their first set at 6:30pm.
